check it!! just the running list for the vacationland June mixtape — a busy mind. at something like 35 tracks already, the rough edits are sounding gr8 so far. will try to keep it under an hour, which is barely doable. sounds good?

Here’s another great funkin remix from RAC that sounds unlike your traditional remix and more like the Doobie Brothers & The Whitest Boy Alive are doing remixes for DFA. Seriously, go to about 3:10 and you’ll understand exactly what I mean. The original vocals from Princeton are as integral to the remix as all of the instrumentation; equalled. It’s one of the few remixes that do the vocals justice. Great work here. Princeton, on their own, will remind you of an upbeat Sigur Ros, a less midi heavy Delorean, an orchestral Hot Chip. Gotta love when a remix introduces you to a band that you’ll like as much as the producer doing the new version.

Here’s Princeton’s Grand Rapids (RAC Remix)

BONUS: Hit up Princeton’s tumblr for some excellent graphic design and more of their tunes. Great branding, dudes.

Drop Out Orchestra just released the single EP of It Will Never Be The Same Again via Eskimo Recordings and is giving out copies of the acapella for free. Enjoy that, music nerds. Also on the single are remixes by Moullinex and Punks Jump Up. Looks like there’s some serious support for the top secret duo from Sweden. Not a lot of info out there about DOD, but they’ve been around for a while and have graced us with many different edits, remixes and original tracks over the last few years. It appears that when they play live, they’ve got at least one dude playing the sax and one dude on the keyboards. Looks good.

THIS SATURDAY, if you are in PARIS: Discotexas Label Night le samedi 2 juin à La Villette Enchantée. Check out the amazing teaser for the event and RSVP on Facebook. Make sure you check out the newish agent rep, Burnin Music, who is pushing the event HARD. Burnin represents most of the people at the party including: ZIMMER, THE PHANTOM’S REVENGE, JUSTIN FAUST, EDWIN VAN CLEEF, MIRROR PEOPLE, & APPALOOSA. Pretty good roster, right?!?

SURPRISE, another A+ mixtape from our buddy T∆TT. For you suckers like me who are working today, this will lift your spirits for 41 minutes and 37 seconds. Who’s counting? Great curated mix here, if you’ve got a car worth driving you should be listening to this the next time you’re in it.

TBA on the tracklist but you can expect some of everything: Kavinsky, Mark Ronson & The Business Intl, Jeremy Glenn, Daft Punk, Plush, & DVAS. If anyone can tell me what version of Free And Easy is playing at around 25 minutes before T∆TT does — congratulations you’re the winner!

It’s what you need to jump into the week — starting right now! Here’s T∆TT’s 3 A.M. Drive:

Finally, here is Zimmer’s May Mixtape Sage Paradis for your day drinking beautiful sunday memorial weekend pleasure. As always, Zimmer kills this mixtape. Nothing was forced and everything was sexy. Plenty of zen zone favorites, as expected. Zimmer is really nailing it — only 3 days deep, this mixtape already has a nice 5,273 plays. There’s a reason for that. Enjoy the music, nerds. You deserve it!!!
